Before you install

Sign in to the Claude account you plan to use.
Verify system requirements.
Close conflicting AI extensions in your editor.
On corporate networks, confirm firewall allowlists.

After install

Run a one-minute smoke test: open a sample repo, ask for a README summary, review any suggested edit. Then read the install guide for team rollout tips.
